For our team, getting to serve our community has always been an important part of our practice. We aren’t just caring for teeth. We are caring for people, and that extends outside the office as well.
Recently, we had a special visitor in our office — none other than good St. Nick. Santa Claus stopped by Miller Lung Dental Group to collect a donation for Toys for Tots from our team.
While he was here, we wanted to show that jolly old soul how much we appreciate all that he has done, too. We were able to clean his teeth, so he would be cavity-free during the Christmas season.
Giving Back
U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program collects unwrapped toys across the country during the last three months of every year. Local chapters assist in collecting and distributing the toys to less fortunate children.
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was established in 1991. Nationally, around 800 local Toys for Tots Coordinators and their support groups assist the foundation in its mission. Approximately 40,000 Marines, Marine Corps League members, veteran Marines, and volunteers participate in the annual toy drive and distribution efforts.
We are proud to contribute to this effort on the local level.

Santa has demonstrated selflessness for longer than we can say. When he stopped in, we wanted to thank him in some way. So, we gave him a professional cleaning!
We are happy to report that in spite of eating so many cookies, Santa remains free from cavities and gum disease. He told us that he is always consistent about his daily brushing and flossing. He also makes regular dental checkups part of his oral care routine.
